Tribal Chief Mark Arcand

Tribal Chief Mark Arcand, Saskatoon Tribal Council

Tribal Chief Mark Arcand is a member of the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation located in Treaty Six Territory and resides in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.  Since I was elected this role as Tribal Chief of Saskatoon Tribal Council in October 2017, I have dedicated my work to reversing residential school effects through restoring cultural education and nourishing the gift of each child. Previous to this role, I have been STC Vice-Chief as well as Labour Force Development Partnership Manager and Youth Sport Culture and Recreation Coordinator.  I have a passion for coaching and mentoring youth through sports and recreation and continue my community work as a referee and coach. I wanted to become involved in the Downtown District Advisory Group to ensure that First Nations were involved from the start, to have inclusion on the lands we share on Treaty 6 Territory.
