Alisha Esmail

 Alisha Esmail, CEO/Owner, Road Coffee Inc. 
Entrepreneurship and innovation has never been far from my mind; it’s an integral part of my daily life and has been a guiding principle throughout my work and travels. My past work executing development projects in Haiti, Nepal, Jordan, South Africa and others places set fire to a deep desire to make a positive impact and spark change and innovation. After project managing on an international scale, I moved home to Saskatoon to start Road Coffee Inc. I choose this because I believe Saskatchewan does and can create and innovate on a global stage. This is one of the reasons I wanted to be a part of the Downtown Event & Entertainment District. 

Building bridges amongst people and communities has always been at the core of who I am. With this project, I believe it can be a place for our community to come together, to celebrate, to learn, to express the arts, to build deep lasting relationships. When I look into the future, I envision a district that elevates our city and the people and businesses within it. A place that hosts individuals and organizations from around the world. As well as allows our residents to experience world class entertainment, food and culture without leaving our city.  

With a background in project management, fundraising and entrepreneurship I look forward to bringing my global experience and innovative strategic thinking to the group.
