Temporary Reserved Parking Program

The Temporary Reserved Parking (TRP) Program allows residents to reserve parking spaces in pay parking areas for non-standard use purposes, including construction, business (i.e., sidewalk sales) or service needs (i.e., sign installers, window cleaning).

This program accommodates parking reservations while maintaining public safety, promoting unrestricted traffic flow and supporting a healthy business community.

Reservations

Reservations must be received five (5) business days prior to your planned start date and must be a minimum of one (1) day in duration. A minimum of one (1) and a maximum of six (6) parking stalls can be reserved per block face. Applications that reserve more than six (6) parking stalls on a block face will be reviewed by Parking Operations manager or designate. 

Late reservations may be granted but are not guaranteed and must be received no later than 48 hours in advance of setup.

To make a reservation, email Parking Services or call 306-975-2548 with the following information:

  • Billing address – Include your company name, contact name, address, phone number and email address
  • Address of parking location – Include the site address for the parking space(s) you would like to reserve
  • Number of parking spaces – If painted lines are not present on the street, a parking space is defined as:
    • Parallel parking areas: 6.5 linear metres of parking lane
    • Angled parking or nose-in parking areas: 2.44 linear meters of parking lane
  • Duration of reservation – Include the number of days and time of day (daytime, 24-hour or overnight)
    • Daytime (11hr/day): 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    • 24hr/day: 7 a.m. to 7 a.m.
    • Overnight: 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Once the above information is received, the City will email you a Temporary Reserved Parking Form listing the location and cost of your reservation. If the information is correct, you are asked to sign and return the form to Parking Services. Service is not provided unless Parking Services receives the signed form.

Fees

  • $25 - per space 7AM- 6PM 11hr/day
  • $35 - per space 7AM- 7AM 24hr/day
  • $10 – per space 6 PM – 6 AM 12 hr/day

There is an administration fee of $75 for every booking. GST is not included in the above fees and will be applied where applicable.
