The Deposit Request Form is optional. Do not complete this form if you have already paid a deposit to your contractor. Do-It-Yourself (DIY) upgrades are not eligible for upfront deposits. You can request up to 30% of the Total Final HELP Loan amount (final estimated cost before applied rebates) on your Schedule A - Planned Project Details PDF to be paid to a contractor on your behalf as a deposit. The deposit request amount can be either 30% of your total loan amount or the total sum of your contractor deposits, whichever is less. Please have your signed Deferral Agreement, your Schedule A - Planned Project Details PDF and applicable contractor quotes on hand when completing this form. This form can only be completed after you have a HELP Deferral Agreement signed by both the homeowner and the City.
I understand that once the City has paid the deposit, I will be responsible for repayment to the City, and under the Deferral Agreement the City has no responsibility to or authority over the contractor(s). Any dispute regarding the contract or the deposit will be a matter solely between the contractor(s) and I.
