Stephanie Clovechok, CEO of Discover Saskatoon (formerly Tourism Saskatoon) 

I believe the tourism industry enables a flourishing community, creating a legacy of connection and prosperity. I am enthusiastic about the continued enhancement of Saskatoon’s hosting capacity. Saskatoon’s presence on the global stage is growing and the vibrancy of our downtown core will bring greater opportunity to host national and international audiences. Tourism is inherently local and the vibrancy that new hosting infrastructure and an event district will provide to our community will not only be in the events and gatherings that are attended but in the jobs created in the development and operations. The strength of Indigenous partnerships in Saskatoon also enable Indigenous placemaking. Appropriate relationships will be formed at the onset of this project to ensure that Indigenous people have equitable access to the economic opportunity provided by the district and in ensuring that territorial protocol is adhered to throughout the duration of the development and operations. I came to Saskatoon after working with Travel Alberta, developing new tourism experiences throughout the province of Alberta and promoting Alberta in 8 international markets. My work here is focused on elevating Saskatoon as a globally recognized destination, securing high value and high visitation business opportunities for the city and positioning the city on the global stage, emphasizing the provinces sectors of strength. I am a board member of the Sanctum Care Group and the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce
