Councillor: Scott Ford

Scott Ford is honored to represent Ward 8 as its new City Councillor. A resident of Ward 8 for over 25 years, he has deep connections to the community where he has lived and raised his family.
With 30 years of experience in facility management at SaskTel Centre, Scott brings expertise in strategic planning, budgeting, contract negotiations, business development, and team leadership. His efforts have helped establish SaskTel Centre as one of North America's premier venues.
As an active volunteer, Scott has played a key role in bidding for and hosting major national and international events in Saskatoon. His contributions span a wide range of prestigious events, including the World Junior Hockey Championships, Memorial Cups, Curling Canada events, Skate Canada events, CIAU championships, rodeo and bull riding events, the Canadian Country Music Awards, and the JUNO Awards. In these events, he has served in executive leadership roles as a volunteer, from the initial bidding process to the successful completion of each event.
He has also served as a long-term member of the Saskatoon Sports Tourism Board and as part of the Discover Saskatoon Advisory Committee.
Scott takes great pride in Saskatoon's world-class hosting capacity and throughout his career has worked alongside thousands of staff, contractors, suppliers and dedicated volunteers who also share a deep pride in the city.
In recognition of his contributions, Scott has received multiple Tourism Saskatoon Leadership Awards, the Saskatchewan Tourism Builder Award of Excellence, the Discover Saskatoon Legacy Builder Award, and the Platinum Jubilee Medal for Business.
