Councillor: Troy Davies
Troy grew up in Saskatoon’s west side, where he attended Confederation Park Elementary School, and graduated from Mount Royal Collegiate in 1992.
Troy started his career in 1994 working as an Advanced Care Paramedic. In 2002 Troy was promoted to Director of Public Affairs and Media Relations with Medavie Health Services West in Saskatoon. In 2025 Troy retired from his role with Medavie and was named the CEO of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. Troy’s dedication and contributions have been recognized with numerous awards, including the STARS OF LIFE Award, the Governor Generals EMS Exemplary Service Medal, the Saskatchewan Protective Services Award for 25 years of service as an Advanced Care Paramedic, the Saskatchewan Premiers Service Club Award, and the Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee Medal.
Troy has been actively involved in numerous boards and fundraising events. Among his most notable achievements is his work with the Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce. Troy served as Co-Chair and emcee for the SABEX Awards from 2009 to 2011. He also represented Saskatoon alongside other cities from North America in China. After winning the 2012 Civic election, Troy resigned as Vice-President of the Chamber.
Another notable achievement is Troy’s involvement with Synergy 8 Community Builders. In 2009, Troy founded the non-profit group, which comprises eight individuals. Each year, golf and hockey celebrities are invited to join the non-profit group and raise funds to purchase equipment that directly impacts the lives of sick children. To date, the group has raised an impressive 13.04 million dollars and has collaborated with several of Saskatoon’s charities.
Troy was first elected to City Council in 2012 and has been an active voice for residents in Ward 4 since then, responding to over 30,000 inquiries. As a member of various City of Saskatoon boards and committees, Troy has made significant contributions.
