Pre-Screening
-
Out-of-scope positions (non-unionized) – we review the resumes and/or cover letters we receive internally and externally after a posting closes. We compare what the qualifications from each applicant’s resume are with the qualifications we noted in the job posting. We then identify our top candidates based on that process.
-
In-scope positions (unionized) - we review the resume and/or cover letter of internal applications after the posting closes. We compare what the qualifications from each applicant’s resume are with the qualifications we noted in the job posting and then identify who among the qualified internal candidates have the most seniority. We then identify our senior qualified candidates based on that process.
-
We review the external applications based on qualifications and the job posting if there are no qualified internals in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
