22nd Street East closed at Spadina Crescent on Tuesday

22nd Street East will be closed at Spadina Crescent on Tuesday, August 6, starting at 9:00 a.m. for sewer inspections. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the work zone. This project is expected to take four hours to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.
Saskatoon Transit may be affected by these detours. Transit service alerts and real-time bus information are available on third-party apps like Transit and Google Maps Transit on desktop.

Downtown street closures for Exhibition Parade on Tuesday

- Spadina Crescent between 24th and 20th streets
- 20th Street between Spadina Crescent and 4th Avenue
- 4th Avenue between 20th and 24th streets
- 24th Street between 4th Avenue and Spadina Crescent
Spadina Crescent will be closed between 24th and 33rd streets on Tuesday, August 6th starting at 5:30 a.m. for the Saskatoon Exhibition Parade marshalling area.
Additional road closures for the parade route start at 9:30 a.m. and include:

Fall Leisure Guide available Friday, August 2; Program registration begins Sunday, August 18, 2024

- Saskatoon’s civic Leisure Centres (Cosmo, Lakewood, and Lawson Civic Centres; Saskatoon Field House; and Shaw Centre);
- New personal and group exercise training programs for youth, adults and 50 + participants;
- Lifesaving Society swim lessons at the Leisure Centres including the return of Multi-Level Swim Lessons for Families (formerly known as Block Lessons);
- Public and parent & tot skating at the indoor rinks;
- A variety of free community programming including events for youth on school breaks and the popular Drop N’Shop;
- Adult drop-in and registered fitness programs for all fitness levels and all stages of your life; and,
- Community Association programs and activities.
The City of Saskatoon Leisure Guide is the community’s go-to source for sport, culture and recreation information in Saskatoon.
The Fall Leisure Guide will be available online at saskatoon.ca/leisureguide and on display at pick-up locations throughout Saskatoon beginning Friday, August 2. Mark your calendar! Registration for Fall programs begins Sunday, August 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. by logging into to your account on leisureonline.saskatoon.ca or by calling 306-975-2800.
Registration for private and semi-private swim lessons and multi-level lessons for families will open on Monday, August 19. Registrations are accepted by phone only. Call the Leisure Centre that you are interested in taking lessons at to register.
Leisure program registrations processed through Leisure Online are now charged an additional $1.00 (+GST) convenience fee on each program registration. This fee was introduced March 1, 2024 after City Council approved the fee during the 2024-25 budget process in November of 2023. The revenue from the convenience fee will help support the City’s operating budget.
Visa and MasterCard are accepted forms of payment for online transactions. Phone to make a payment with American Express. Cash and debit cards are accepted in person.

Avenue P closed between 29th and 31st streets starting Tuesday

Avenue P will be closed between 29th and 31st streets starting Tuesday, August 6 at 7:00 a.m. to replace service connections. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the work zone. This project is expected to take two days to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Broadway Avenue closed between 10th and 12th streets starting Saturday

Broadway Avenue will be closed between 10th and 12th streets starting Saturday, August 3, at 6:00 a.m. for the Fringe Festival. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the special event site. Detours associated with this event are expected to be removed by Tuesday, August 6 at 6:00 a.m. barring any unforeseen circumstances or weather delays.
