Ride Saskatoon Transit free on October 28 and November 13 election days
October 22, 2024 - 9:15am
To help reduce transportation barriers to voting polls for the provincial and civic elections, Saskatoon Transit will provide a special pass for free transit service on October 28 and November 13, 2024. This free service enables every resident the opportunity to reach their polling station conveniently and affordably.
Find the free pass at SaskatoonTransit.ca or pick one up at the Transit Customer Service Centre, City Hall, Civic Leisure Centres or a Saskatoon Public Library. A printed pass is not required; electronic versions on mobile phones will be accepted. Simply show a printed, downloaded, picture, or screenshot version of the pass to the operator upon boarding.
The pass is only for use on each election day – October 28 (provincial election) and November 13 (civic election). The pass can be used multiple times on fixed-route, OnDemand and Access Transit and will expire at the end of service each day on October 28 and November 13, 2024
Trips can be planned using the mobile app Transit or Google Maps Transit up to two weeks in advance to help find the best route to a polling station.
For more information about free election day transit service, visit SaskatoonTransit.ca.

It’s mid-October and time to get ready to make your voting plans for this fall’s 2024 Civic Election. Eligible voters in Saskatoon, you’ll vote for Mayor, City Councillors and Public and Separate School Board Trustees for the next four-year term on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.
Elections Saskatoon will use a Voters List for this fall’s civic election for the first time since 1988. The Voters List is a list of eligible, registered voters in Saskatoon. The Voters List makes it easier to verify a voter’s identity, and its use ensures only eligible voters vote once.
Pre-register for the Voters List to help make your voting experience faster and more efficient when you go to vote, either at early voting opportunities or on Election Day. We encourage all eligible voters to get ready to vote by pre-registering, here’s how:
Go Online: Visit saskatoon.ca/voterlookup before tomorrow's deadline, October 22, 2024:
You can also have your information on the Voters List updated via these options:
Besides making sure you’re registered, and your voter information is correct, it’s important that all voters, regardless of having children in the school system, indicate (or update) the school division you support. This is to ensure you receive the correct ballot when you go to vote. To note, only voters who own assessable property, but do not reside in Saskatoon, will select No School Support when they register for the Voters List.
Important to know: if you don’t get a chance to check, confirm or update the Voters List before October 22, 2024, via your available options (online, email, phone, or in person) - not to worry! All eligible voters will be able to register at the voting location they attend either at an early voting opportunity or on Election Day. A Voter Registration Form will need to be filled out.
