1st Avenue intersection closed at 24th Street starting Saturday
August 19, 2022 - 11:00am
The intersection at 1st Avenue and 24th Street will be closed starting Saturday, August 20, at 8:00 a.m. for catch basin repair work. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the work zone. This project is expected to take two days to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.
Saskatoon Transit may be affected by these detours. Transit service alerts and real-time bus information are available on third-party apps like Transit and Google Maps Transit on desktop.

Reminder: Fall program registration begins Sunday, August 21 at 6:00 p.m.

- Ensure you have an active Leisure Online registration account and know your username and password. If you require assistance with your account, please call any Leisure Centre prior to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 21.
- Have a list of second and third program choices in case you do not get into your first choice.
- Join the wait list! Every full program has an online wait list and new classes may be created if there is enough demand.
- Consider other nearby Leisure Centres if your preferred location isn't available.
- Ensure your major web browser (Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox,) is up-to-date.
- Once you reach the payment page, do not return to the previous page or click on the “submit payment” button more than once. These actions could result in duplicate payments. If you need to change your selection, close your browser and start a new transaction.
Registration for the City’s Fall recreation programs begins Sunday, August 21, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. by logging into to your account on Leisure Online at leisureonline.saskatoon.ca, or by calling 306-975-2800.
Many people will be registering Sunday evening, and the City sincerely thanks residents for their patience. While additional online and telephone resources are in place to make the process run as smoothly as possible, there will be hundreds of people registering at once.

The Fall Leisure Guide, which is Saskatoon’s go-to source for fitness programs, recreational activities and arts and culture opportunities for all ages and abilities, was released on August 5. It is available online at saskatoon.ca/leisureguide or for pick up at any City leisure facility, Saskatoon library or over 120 retail locations throughout Saskatoon and limited surrounding areas that the StarPhoenix is sold.
Circle Drive northbound exit ramp to 8th Street closed on Sunday evening

- Taylor Street exit ramp to Circle Drive northbound will be closed
- Circle Drive northbound curb lane will be closed between Taylor and 8th streets
The Circle Drive northbound exit ramp to 8th Street will be closed on Sunday, August 21 at 7:00 p.m. for roadway paving work. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around this project. This work is expected to take 11 hours to complete, barring unforeseen circumstances or weather delays.

Road restrictions and transit detours downtown on Sunday
August 19, 2022 - 8:00am
- 1st Avenue will be closed between 20th and 22nd streets
- 2nd Avenue will be closed between 20th and 23rd streets
- 3rd Avenue will be closed between 20th and 23rd streets
- 21st Street will be closed between 1st and 4th avenues
- 22nd Street will be closed between 1st and 4th avenues
To accommodate the Rock 102 Show & Shine event in the downtown area on Sunday, August 21, detours and parking restrictions will be in place guiding motorists around the event zone.
Event road restrictions in place on August 21 from 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.:
This event will severely impact transit routes and stops in the downtown area. Saskatoon Transit will be issuing service alerts about detours and temporary bus stop locations.
The Downtown Terminal bus stops will operate as normal except for Route 6, 60 and 65 which will have temporary bus stops located on 23rd Street eastbound, east of 2nd Avenue.
For service alerts about bus stop closures, real-time bus locations, and next bus arrivals use the mobile app Transit or Google Transit on desktop. Customer Service is also available at 306-975-3100 to help answer any questions.
Drivers are reminded watch out for pedestrians. The City thanks everyone for their patience.

Stonebridge Boulevard closed between Cope and Dulmage crescents on Sunday

- The Stonebridge roundabout will be closed
- Cornish Road will be closed between Willis and Lynd crescents
- Stonebridge Boulevard eastbound lanes will be closed between Wellman Lane and Wellman Crescent
