Avenue C closed between 33rd and 34th streets on Monday

Avenue C will be closed between 33rd and 34th streets on Monday, June 24, starting at 8:00 a.m. for water line and sewer replacements. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the work zone. This project is expected to take one day to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.

1st Avenue southbound ramp to Idylwyld Drive closed on Sunday

The 1st Avenue southbound ramp to Idylwyld Drive will be closed on Sunday, June 23, starting at 6:00 a.m. for a catch basin repair. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the work zone. Taylor Street closed between Lansdowne and Albert avenues on Sunday

Taylor Street will be closed between Lansdowne and York avenues on Sunday, June 23, starting at 7:00 a.m. for search and rescue training. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the work zone. Roadways are expected to reopen by 1:00 p.m., weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Weekend road restrictions for Pride Festival and Parade

- Spadina Crescent from 2nd Avenue to just south of 20th Street
- Traffic Bridge
- 3rd Avenue from 19th Street to the Traffic Bridge
- Victoria Avenue from the Traffic Bridge to 11th Street
- Spadina Crescent loop under University Bridge
- Spadina Crescent from 23rd to 24th streets
- 4th Avenue from 24th to 22nd streets
- 22nd Street from 4th to 1st avenues
- 1st Avenue from Idylwyld Drive to 22nd Street
- 20th Street from 1st to 4th avenues
- 3rd Avenue from 21st to 19th streets
To accommodate the Pride Festival and Parade this weekend, detours, lane restrictions and “no parking” signs will be in place guiding motorists around the downtown event areas.

City to lower flags in recognition of National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism

The National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism is on June 23. In recognition, flags at all City of Saskatoon facilities will fly at half-mast for the day.
Recognized every year in Canada on June 23, the National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism marks the anniversary of the Air India Flight 182 bombing which happened off the coast of Ireland in 1985.
Flags across Canada are flown at half-mast on June 23 to honour the victims of the Air India bombing, and Canadian victims whose lives have been taken by other acts of terrorism.
