Spadina Crescent will be closed between 20th Street and 3rd Avenue starting on Monday, May 27, at 7:00 a.m. for traffic calming and sidewalk improvements. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the work zone. This project is expected to take five days to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Saskatoon Transit may be affected by these detours. Transit service alerts and real-time bus information are available on third-party apps like Transit and Google Maps Transit on desktop.

Road closures will be in place on Sunday, May 26, starting at 5:00 a.m. for the Saskatchewan Marathon.

Race route road closures include:

• McPherson Avenue from Taylor Street E to 8th Street E
• St Henry Avenue from Diefenbaker Park Road to Lorne Avenue
• Victoria Avenue NB lanes from 8th Street E to 19th Street E
• Taylor Street E from Lorne Avenue to Victoria Avenue
• Eastlake Avenue from Ruth Street E to Taylor Street E
• Victoria Avenue NB lanes from Taylor Street E to 8th Street E
• Traffic Bridge from 11th Street E to 19th Street E 
• Spadina Crescent E NB lanes from 20th Street E to Pinehouse Drive
• Spadina Crescent W from Power Road to Schuyler Street

Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the race route. Roadways will reopen as racers complete various stages. All roads will be open by 1:00 p.m., weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Drivers are reminded to drive carefully, watch for participants and officials, and to be aware of “no parking” signs along marathon routes. The City thanks everyone for their patience.

Direct service from the Special Events Stop (23rd Street and 2nd Avenue) to see the Saskatchewan Rattlers take on the Montreal Alliance at SaskTel Centre on Saturday, May 25 at 7:30 p.m., is available at the following times:

• 6:15 p.m.
• 6:55 p.m.

Post-event drop-off is at the downtown terminal and regular fares apply ($3.00 per trip). Fare can be purchased on your mobile phone using either the TGo or transit app, transfers and passes are also accepted. Typically, buses arrive onsite 30 minutes prior to the end of the event.

Saskatoon Transit is updating the system that provides real-time bus location information and service alerts used by trip-planning apps such as Transit and Google. The system will be offline for approximately 11 hours, beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday, May 24, and is expected to be available by 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

During this period, the estimated time and location displayed on the trip-planning apps will be based on the schedule, not the actual location of the bus. Customers are encouraged to arrive at their stop at least five minutes before the scheduled pick-up time.

Saskatoon Transit service alerts will not be available throughout this maintenance period; however, customers can refer to x.com/stoontransit for details if the outage is extended.
