Flip-flip hooray, we have a record donation to announce!

Thank you, Saskatoon, for coming out to attend the City of Saskatoon’s 48^th Annual Civic Pancake Fundraising Breakfast yesterday, Tuesday, June 11. A sunny day brought great attendance and with residents donating extra dollars, we have beaten last year’s donation to make this year’s breakfast, result in our highest donation amount to date!

We’re very proud to announce that this year’s Civic Pancake Breakfast has resulted in a final donation (revenue less expenses) of $13,471.50 from the City to United Way Saskatoon & Area.

Pancake Breakfast results year-over-year:

Total number of $7 breakfast tickets sold in 2024: 1,344 ($9,408)
Total number of $7 breakfast tickets sold in 2023: 1,289 ($9,023)

2024: 1,135 individual $7 breakfast tickets sold = $7,945
2023: 1,156 individual $7 breakfast tickets sold = $8,092

Thank you for your generosity, Saskatoon, you paid it forward and purchased 76 more Act of Kindness* tickets over last year!

2024: 209 Act of Kindness* $7 breakfast tickets sold = $1,463
2023: 133 Act of Kindness* $7 breakfast tickets sold = $931

*Attendees, or those who could not attend, were given the opportunity to 'pay it forward' and purchase an additional breakfast ticket to donate to someone in need of one yesterday. Dollars raised from all purchased Act of Kindness tickets, used or unused, are fully donated.

Last year’s 47^th Annual Civic Pancake Breakfast tally ended with a final donation (revenue less expenses) to the United Way Saskatoon & Area of $11,118.86.

For over 50 years, United Way Saskatoon & Area has been working to positively impact the lives of vulnerable children, youth, and their families across Saskatoon by identifying and addressing barriers.

The City of Saskatoon is proud to donate annually to our community partner, United Way Saskatoon & Area, to help make our community better for everyone.

Baltzan Boulevard will be closed between Horner Crescent and Payne Bend starting on Thursday, June 13, at 7:00 a.m. for a water tie-in. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the work zone. This project is expected to take two days to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Saskatoon Transit may be affected by these detours. Transit service alerts and real-time bus information are available on third-party apps like Transit and Google Maps Transit on desktop.

Direct service from the Special Events Stop (23rd Street and 2nd Avenue) to see the Saskatchewan Rattlers take on the Brampton Honey Badgers at SaskTel Centre on Wednesday, June 12 at 7:30 p.m., is available at the following times:

• 6:15 p.m.
• 6:55 p.m.

Post-event drop-off is at the downtown terminal and regular fares apply ($3.00 per trip). Fare can be purchased on your mobile phone using either the TGo or transit app, transfers and passes are also accepted. Typically, buses arrive onsite 30 minutes prior to the end of the event.
