Saskatoon voters: October 15 is your deadline for online Mail-in Ballot requests
October is here and it’s time to make your voting plan for this fall’s 2024 Civic Election. Will you be away this November, or prefer to vote from the convenience of your home? All eligible voters have the option to apply to conveniently vote by mail-in ballot instead of voting in person.
Important: If you want to apply for your Mail-in Ballot kit online, the deadline to do so is October 15, 2024; this is to allow time for processing and mailing out.
Voters, to apply for your Mail-in Ballot kit, you also have these options. Please note the deadline dates:
- Email: Complete your Mail-in Ballot application form and email to elections@saskatoon.ca no later than 5 p.m. on October 31, 2024;
- By mail: Send your application form by regular mail or deliver in person to the Elections Saskatoon Office, 200-145 1st Ave North. If you are mailing in, your Mail-in Ballot must be received before 8 p.m. on Election Day, November 13, 2024, to be counted.
- In person: Bring your application form with your ID documents to the Elections Saskatoon Office no later than 5 p.m. on November 12, 2024.
To submit a request for a Mail-in Ballot kit, eligible voters must attach acceptable ID documents with their application to establish their identity and residence. If you attach your Driver's License, or non-driver photo-ID, that is all you need. Learn more about the full list of acceptable IDs here.

Approved Mail-in Ballot applications received before October 15, will be mailed out the week of October 22, 2024. Approved applications received after October 15 but before October 31, will be mailed out at the time of approval.
You can choose to drop off your Mail-in Ballot at these convenient locations before 4 p.m. on November 13, 2024: Shaw Centre, Cosmo Civic Centre, Lawson Civic Centre, Lakewood Civic Centre, Saskatoon Field House, Saskatoon City Hall, and the Elections Saskatoon Office.
Eligible voters in Saskatoon will vote for Mayor, City Councillors and Public and Separate School Board Trustees for the next four-year term on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.
