Adjusted holiday hours & civic services for Family Day, February 21, 2022

The City of Saskatoon will have a number of adjusted civic services and hours of operation on Family Day, as follows:

CITY HALL

  • All Administrative Offices are closed on February 21. City Hall will reopen Tuesday, February 22, 2021, at 8:00 a.m.

REMAI MODERN

  • Remai Modern is open from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. for Rawlco Radio Free Admission Day. Register for your free, timed ticket at remaimodern.org.

SASKATOON PUBLIC LIBRARY

  • All locations will be closed on February 21

WASTE COLLECTIONS

  • Garbage (Black Cart) – Collections as scheduled
  • Recycling (Blue Cart) – Collections as scheduled
  • Organics (Subscription Green Cart) – Collections as scheduled

LANDFILL

  • The Landfill will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Cash transactions are accepted, although Credit and Debit are recommended.
  • More information at saskatoon.ca/landfill

COMPOST DEPOTS

SASKATOON TRANSIT

  • Fixed route, Access Transit and the Transit Customer Service Centre will operate holiday hours on Monday, February 21.
  • On-Demand Transit will not be available on Monday, February 21.  

PAY PARKING

  • Parking payment is not required on Family Day, February 21.
  • Motorists are reminded that all other parking requirements remain in effect, including parking time limits.

MUNICIPAL IMPOUND LOT 

  • Vehicles will not be released to the public on Family Day, February 21.

SASKATOON FORESTRY FARM PARK & ZOO HOURS

Hours of Operation:

  • Zoo 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Forestry Farm Park 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

LEISURE CENTRES

Search for drop-in program information including fitness and weight room hours, public swim sessions and fitness programs on Leisure Online at saskatoon.ca/leisureonline

  • Cosmo Civic Centre
    CLOSED (Note:  Facility will be open to host Family Day Skate Event from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.)
  • Harry Bailey Aquatic Centre
    OPEN - 12:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Lakewood Civic Centre
    OPEN – 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Lawson Civic Centre
    OPEN - 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Saskatoon Field House
    OPEN – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Shaw Centre
    OPEN – 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Terry Fox Track
    CLOSED

INDOOR ARENAS
Additional skate times are being offered February 21- February 25. Search public and parent & tot skate times on Leisure Online at saskatoon.ca/leisureonline.  Indoor arenas will be open regular hours of operation and have the following programming on Family Day:

  • ACT Arena: Public Skating - 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Cosmo Arena:  Free Family Day Skate event from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Everyone welcome.
