Proposal
The Planning and Development Department has received an application from BDM Enterprises (the applicant) proposing to rezone land in the Brighton neighbourhood to accommodate the next phase of residential development.
The subject land is part of Parcel LL1, Plan 102343979 located in the north-west part of Brighton. It includes a portion of Traeger Manor, Traeger Common, Traeger Close, and Doran Way. The area is currently undeveloped and zoned FUD(H) – Future Urban Development District subject to the Holding Symbol.
The applicant is proposing to rezone the land to a mix of R1A – Low Density Residential District 1A and R2 – Low Density Residential District 2, as shown on the map below. These zones provide for residential development and related community uses and align with the approved Brighton Neighbourhood Concept Plan land use map, which designates this area for single unit and semi-detached dwellings.
