Project Status

Aspen Ridge Core Park, recently named Linklater Park, will be the main neighbourhood park in Aspen Ridge. The City is in the design phase of the park's development, with construction tentatively scheduled to begin in 2025. 

How Can You Get Involved?  

The feedback received is currently being  reviewed and considered along with multiple factors, such as current best practices, technical considerations, budgetary constraints, neighbourhood plans, policy direction and the needs of the overall community.  

What is the Project About?

A core park is designed to accommodate the active and passive recreation needs of the neighbourhood and typically includes amenities such as:  

• multi-purpose sports field(s)  
• open green spaces 
• toboggan hill 
• community gathering places 
• playground area 
• spray pad 
• LED lit pathways; 
• site furniture (e.g., benches, waste bins, bicycle racks) 
• trees and shrubs 
• space for a community garden and outdoor rink
