General Information Request
A general information request is any request that is not a personal request or that is not readily available on the City’s website.

Examples of a general information request record made under the Act include:
- Investigation, compliance and enforcement records
- Fire investigation and inspection reports
- Animal control files
- Procurement documents (bid information, awarded contracts, invoices and purchase orders)
- Environmental assessments and reports
- Property records (building plans, permits, building inspections, tax assessments)
- Service reports
- Information about City projects
- Reports to Council (that are not publicly available, for example, archived minutes, agendas, reports, videotapes and audiotapes of City Council meetings, miscellaneous additional information such as presentations to City Council.)
Important: For quicker access (three business days) to the building and property information listed below, follow the Property Disclosure Request process. This type of information request requires the completion of a Property Information Disclosure application along with a $20.00 payment to building.standards@saskatoon.ca.
- Building and plumbing permit history and deficiencies
- Occupancy permits for existing suites in one-unit dwellings
- Outstanding fire orders
- Heritage and zoning designations
- Outstanding landscaping and parking requirements
- Presence of additional zoning requirements
