Road restrictions for Canada Day celebration starting Sunday
To accommodate the Canada Day celebration this weekend, detours, lane restrictions and “no parking” signs will be in place guiding motorists around the downtown event areas.
Road closures starting at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 30 include:
- Spadina Crescent from 2nd Avenue to Broadway Bridge
Road closures starting at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 1 include:
- Traffic Bridge
- 3rd Avenue from 19th Street to Traffic Bridge
- Victoria Avenue from Traffic Bridge to 11th Street
Road closures starting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 1 include:
- Broadway Bridge
- Broadway Avenue from Broadway Bridge to 12th Street
- 4th Avenue South from 20th Street to Broadway Bridge
Roadways will reopen by 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances. Drivers are reminded to drive carefully and watch for participants. The City thanks everyone for their patience.
Saskatoon Transit will be affected by these detours. Transit service alerts and real-time bus information are available on third-party apps like Transit and Google Maps Transit on desktop.
