The Planning and Development Department has received an application from AODBT Architecture and Interior Design and Dream Asset Management Corporation for a Zoning Bylaw Text Amendment to Direct Control District 8 (DCD8) and an associated amendment for the Brighton Village Centre Concept Plan (Concept Plan).
The proposed amendments are as follows:
- Amend the minimum residential parking requirements from 1.5 stalls per unit to 1.0 stalls per unit.
- Include residential land uses in Zone 1 of the DCD8 in the form of Multiple-Unit Dwellings, Dwelling Units, or Multiple-Unit Dwellings in conjunction with and attached to any other permitted uses.
- Include other District Village complimentary land uses to facilitate mixed-use development in Zone 1 of the DCD8.
- Amend the Concept Plan proposed building orientation for the future development of proposed mixed-use developments as shown on the proposed amended concept plan.
