McKercher Drive ramp to College Drive westbound closed on Sunday
April 26, 2024 - 11:00am
The McKercher Drive access ramp to College Drive westbound will be closed on Sunday, April 28, starting at 7:00 a.m. to replace streetlights. Detours will be in place guiding motorists around the work zone. This project is expected to take four hours to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Direct service from the Special Events Stop (23rd Street and 2nd Avenue) to see the Saskatoon Blades take on the Moose Jaw Warriors at SaskTel Centre on Friday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m., is available at the following times:
Direct service from the Special Events Stop to see the Saskatoon Blades take on the Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday, April 27 at 7:00 p.m. (previously stated as 4:00 p.m.), is available at the following times:
Post-event drop-off is at the downtown terminal and regular fares apply ($3.00 per trip). Fare can be purchased on your mobile phone using either the TGo or transit app, transfers and passes are also accepted. Typically, buses arrive onsite 30 minutes prior to the end of the event.
Plan your trip to events at SaskTel Centre on Route 333 using the Transit app up to two weeks in advance. Check out the Transit+ feature to help make connections that combine Transit with OnDemand Transit, riide, and Uber. Download the Transit app from the Apple Store or Google Play.

Second phase of College Drive Water Main Maintenance Project starts Monday

- Zipper merging will be required due to lane closures. Drivers are reminded to use all available lanes and take turns at the end. This will help everyone get through the work zone faster.

The first phase of the College Drive Water Main Maintenance Project is nearing completion. The second phase starts on Monday, April 29. Two-way traffic on College Drive will be maintained, but there will be lane reductions on both sides between Clarence and Cumberland avenues. This phase is expected to take approximately 11 weeks to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.

City to lower flags in recognition of National Day of Mourning

The National Day of Mourning is observed annually on April 28. In recognition, flags at all City of Saskatoon facilities will fly at half-mast for the day.
The National Day of Mourning was officially recognized by the federal government in 1991 and commemorates workers who have been killed, injured or suffered illness due to workplace-related hazards and incidents. It’s also a day to collectively renew our commitment to improving health and safety in the workplace and to preventing further injuries, illnesses and deaths.
The City of Saskatoon is committed to safety in all we do. The National Day of Mourning is an opportunity to create important awareness about workplace safety and our organization’s commitment to ensure every employee goes home safe and healthy at the end of every workday.
