Composting 101

Come find our how to turn food and yard waste into crumbling, soil-enriching compost! This free, three- hour course sponsored by the City of Saskatoon will teach you what compost is, why it is important, and how to make it in your own back-yard. Participants will learn how to start a compost bin and how to maintain it, including trouble shooting solutions to common problems. We will also discuss using the finished compost to enhance your yard, garden and houseplants. Bring your composting questions and concerns, or problems- the Saskatoon Master Composters will be happy to help you out!
