Tony Bassett
Councillor Candidate Ward 6
Saskatoon has been my life. It is where I was born and educated. I started a beautiful family here. For 32 years I've lived in Ward 6; 27 of which I've lived in Nutana.
My professional career has mainly been in the non-profit sector. Why there? Because its work, in big and small ways, improves lives, especially for those underserved. I've worked for Inclusion Saskatchewan, the Sask Abilities Council, and the United Way. I'm currently at Genome Prairie and am a casual instructor at Sask Polytech.
I've been pretty lucky. The great fortune of my birthplace and this city has given much to me and those I love. It's a big factor in why I'm running for council. It's a way of serving the community and improving the lives of our residents.
My campaign is focused on togetherness. I sincerely believe that together, we can work on making our Ward and our city more inclusive, resilient, and ready for all the challenges ahead. So this November, join me and make Saskatoon an ever-greater city.
