Nadine Zettl
Public School Board Trustee Candidate Ward 9
Nadine Zettl will prioritize student and teacher safety by pressing for increased and adequate provincial funding; evidenced-based policy on student learning needs; equity, diversity and inclusion; and improving academic indicators for SPS students. She has over 20 years’ experience as a volunteer and advocate with Saskatoon public schools, most recently as a SCC Chair. Two of her children have graduated from and two are currently enrolled in SPSD schools, and she is fed up with the overcrowded classrooms and cutbacks. As the Executive Director of a disability services non-profit, she has negotiated funding and service agreements with the province. Along with her expertise in board governance, she has an honours degree and master’s degree from the University of Saskatchewan. Her academic research focused on education policy, funding models, and jurisdictional issues. She believes that with sound thinking and smart investments, Saskatoon public schools can be policy leaders.
