Gretchen Peterson brings extensive experience as a parent, volunteer & youth worker. As a Lutheran clergy, she has 20 years experience working with youth, striving to amplify their voice. Her passion for public education has grown through her 8 years being on parent council at Ecole Victoria. Through this valuable experience, she effectively worked with a diverse group of volunteers. As a mother of an elementary public school student, she has seen first hand the challenges faced due to the current lack of funding. She will advocate for more resources to help with complexities experienced in the classrooms. Gretchen wants our schools to be safe places for our students to thrive. She wants our schools to be safe places for our educators to passionately engage our students in learning & extracurricular activities. With her years of experience on parent council, her skills from working with youth, & her passion & collaborative approach, Gretchen will be an effective trustee.
