Erik Carey
Separate School Board Trustee Candidate
I was raised in the Catholic school system and later attended St. Thomas More College and the College of Agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan, where I earned degrees in Political Studies and Agribusiness. During my time at university, I was a core team member with Catholic Christian Outreach, which deepened my faith and commitment to service.
I’ve had the privilege of working for several agricultural companies and the House of Commons, and I currently serve in the Canadian Army Reserve. Additionally, I have volunteered on various boards in different capacities. These experiences have shaped my dedication to community and public service.
I am a parishioner at both St. Paul’s Co-Cathedral and Our Lady of Lourdes parish, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1517. My commitment to my faith and to Catholic education has inspired me to run for Catholic school board trustee, where I hope to help foster a strong values-based education for all students.
