Darren Abrey
Councillor Candidate Ward 8
I am self-employed in Finance and Insurance. I am a long-time Saskatoon resident, College Park Kid, Evan Hardy grad, and I actually live in Ward 8.
-The city needs to find a path back to fiscal responsibility. For Saskatoon to be a livable city, people need to be able to afford to live in the city. A key advantage we are letting slip away.
We need to prioritize safety and security in our neighbourhoods, downtown, and on our transit system.
-As we look to the future and large projects including the DEED, we need to protect the taxpayers from the unreasonable budget and tax increases we have seen over the last 8 years , while improving on funding core services.
-My campaign commits to being Accessible and Accountable, absent from Ward 8 for the past 8 years.
-I commit to ensuring Saskatoon stays on course for equality for all including women, visible minorities, and the 2slgbtq+ community.
-I will stand behind the fantastic City workers, Police, Fire-fighters, and transit operators.
