Connie Kocsis
Public School Board Trustee Candidate Ward 8
Born and raised in Saskatoon, on Treaty Six Territory, I have been a resident of a fabulous Ward 8 community since 2007, moving back home after living in parts of Canada and the United States. My four children attended public elementary and secondary schools in both Ward 8 and Ward 9.
My work experience in the post-secondary environment, with a focus in finance, has given me insights on resource allocation, financial reporting, budgets, and funding models, as well as to sustainable approaches to education. My graduate degree research focused on international students and their learning environment.
My goal as a Saskatoon Public School Board Trustee, is to be present, to listen, and to work hard to understand what families, teachers, and administration want, need, and expect from a publicly funded education system. I would be dedicated to being part of each learners' educational journey, by supporting programs and services that are strategic priorities for the residents of Ward 8.
