Grants
The City of Saskatoon provides a number of grant programs to assist organizations or groups to provide programs in the Saskatoon area.
City staff are available to help applicants; organizations applying for a grant are encouraged to contact staff prior to the application deadline date.

Grants are not provided to individuals, and there are no travel grants.

| Affordable Housing Incentives | The Affordable Housing Incentives (2024) provide funding for the construction of new affordable rental units, including affordable rental units within mixed market developments. Funding may be allocated to eligible projects for the construction of new affordable rental units through capital grants of up to $27,000 per unit and a five-year incremental tax abatement, subject to City Council approval. Youth Sports Subsidy
Application deadline for current eligible youth sport organizations to apply for a Youth Sport Subsidy Special Event Grant is November 15 annually. Application packages are emailed current eligible sport organizations approximately one month in advance of this November 15 deadline.
This program subsidizes the rental cost of facilities required to deliver sports programs to youth who are 18 and under. This program also provides special event grant funds for eligible youth sport organizations hosting events in Saskatoon. Eligible organizations are those currently receiving the Youth Sport Subsidy.

Youth Sport Subsidy Special Event Post-Event Evaluation Report
Special Events Grant and Profile Saskatoon Grant (National Events, Conferences, Tradeshows, etc.)
This program provides grants to groups/organizations registered under the Sask NON-PROFIT Corporations Act wishing to host major events in Saskatoon. Events must have an event operating expense budget of $100,000 or greater to be eligible.
Application Deadlines are: March 1, October 1, and June 1 annually (if date falls on a weekend, the deadline is the Monday after).
